Private Landowner Network: The Private Landowner Network (PLN) provides a centralized repository of conservation and estate planning information and resources for landowners and their service providers.
Land Trust Alliance: The Land Trust Alliance promotes voluntary private land conservation to benefit communities and natural systems. They are the national convener, strategist and representative of more than 1,500 land trusts across America. This site can directly link you to the local land trust working in your region.
State of Washington Current Use Taxation Regulations:
In the Washington Administrative Code, refer to Title 458, Chapter 458.30 OPEN SPACE TAXATION ACT RULES. In the Revised Code of Washington, refer to Title 84, Chapter 84.34 for Open Space, Timber Land, Farm and Agriculture or Title 84, Chapter 84.33 for Forestland.
Conservation Districts work with landowners, other organizations, and agency partners to help protect soil, water, forests, wildlife and other resources. See National Association of Conservation Districts to access information on your local conservation district.
Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) programs help people reduce soil erosion, enhance water supplies, improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat, and reduce damages caused by floods and other natural disasters.
Washington Protected Lands Database: The Protected Lands Database is a GIS data set that contains location, conservation status, and other information on public lands and privately protected lands in Washington State.
