Join Us! Stewards learn about rivers and salmon

Training to become an Extension Watershed Steward is currently underway for spring in 2008. Top regional experts present a blend of classroom presentations and hands-on field trips, which are complemented by out-of-class readings and short homework assignments. After completing training participants will “give back” by volunteering in any number of ways, either by working directly on WSU Extension projects, by working with one of our partnering organizations or by initiating their own project. Please visit Stewardship Projects for example projects and partner descriptions.

The spring 2008 training began March 28th and is now closed to additional applications. For more information about upcoming training opportunities please contact Tara Zimmerman at 206-205-3203 or tara.zimmerman@kingcounty.gov.
