Melody joined WSU King County Extension in 2001. She works with limited income families with children ages 19 years and under in King County. She teaches these families basic nutrition, cooking skills, and food safety, and advises them on shopping wisely, budgeting and meal planning. Melody also helps clients develop positive relationships with their children at mealtimes. Due to her own life experiences, she is able to share different food preparation styles, how to present a visually attractive meal and recommend stores.
