Joe joined WSU Extension in Pierce County in 2006, moving to King County Extension in 2007. As a Food $ense educator, he provides nutrition education to low-income children, primarily in the public schools, and works with teachers, school staff and parents to create an environment of healthy eating throughout the school. Joe also serves as an education mentor for new staff members
Areas of Expertise:
Certified SCUBA diver (through NAUI and WSU); certified archery instructor; certified in Project Wild, Wild Aquatic and Learning Tree; informal education in classroom and outdoor settings.
Education:
B.S., Washington State University, Zoology with an Animal Care endorsement.
Hobbies/Interests:
Playing the guitar and the fiddle, outdoor sports.
