Special Programs

4-H Clover CHALLENGE

The 4-H Challenge program, like all 4-H, helps develop self confidence, self esteem, and basic life skills. It is based on experiential learning and adventure education. Participants learn to plan and set goals, go beyond perceived limits while taking appropriate risks, rely on others for teamwork, and develop trust. 4-H Challenge involves a variety of activities -- portable kits which you can take to your site, ropes courses, rock climbing, and other "adventures" -- to facilitate the skill building process.

4-H staff work closely with schools and other youth organizations to design Challenge activities that will help serve their own population. To become a 4-H Challenge leader an individual goes through a training program.
